Meet Jaclyn
Movement has been the throughline.
I have spent more than two decades working in spaces where people are expected to perform, adapt, lead, and keep going.
For much of that time, my world was dance.
I trained as a dance educator, performed professionally, and spent 20 years owning and operating a dance studio. I taught students, developed instructors, led teams, and learned firsthand what happens when highly capable people are functioning under pressure.
And I kept noticing something.
People often know what they should do.
They know they need to slow down. Set a boundary. Stop overthinking. Trust themselves. Respond differently.
But knowing and doing are not the same thing.
That question eventually changed the direction of my work.
From movement education to mental health
My background in movement eventually led me to counseling, Dance/Movement Therapy, sport counseling, and a deeper exploration of the relationship between internal awareness and behavioral response.
I am currently completing my master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Rider University with specialized training in Dance/Movement Therapy. My graduate clinical training includes supervised work in behavioral health and substance use treatment.
Insight matters. But insight alone does not create change.
We also need the capacity to notice what is happening when the moment actually arrives—and have enough awareness to choose what comes next.
That is the idea at the center of Move Well, Mind Body.
My work today
Through Move Well, Mind Body, I work with individuals, educators, and organizations through coaching, professional development, instructor training, and movement-informed educational programming.
I am particularly interested in the places where movement, mental health, performance, and human development intersect.
Whether I am working with a person navigating burnout, a dance teacher responding to a changing classroom, or a team functioning under pressure, I am often asking a similar question:
What are you noticing—and what becomes possible when you notice it sooner?

Move your body. Find your words.
Move Well, Mind Body grew from a career spent watching people communicate through movement long before they had language for what was happening.
My work now is about helping people notice more, understand more, and build the capacity to respond with greater intention.
